Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist-RRT/CRT is a vital member of the Bothwell Regional Health Center team, responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiopulmonary systems and the ability to implement diagnostic regimes, treatments, and disease prevention strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Administer pharmacologic, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care.
2. Implement or modify diagnostic regimes, treatment, disease prevention, or pulmonary rehabilitation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system.
3. Perform therapeutic use of medical gases, airoxygen apparatus, humidification and aerosol administration devices, and ventilatory assistancecontrol equipment.
4. Monitor and analyze FIO2 and SpO2 levels, and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway establishment, and airway maintenance.
5. Complete all clinical, non-clinical, documentation, and charging procedures in accordance with Hospital and Departmental procedures.

Requirements:

  • Education
a. Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy

  • Licensure/Certification
a. Registration (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
b. Valid, current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
c. Current BLS certification.
d. ACLS required

  • Work Experience
a. No work experience beyond educational clinical experience required.
