Key Responsibilities:
  • Warmly welcomes walk-in and phone customers with genuine enthusiasm to identify their needs and interests, following NbC's Sweet Steps of Service to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintains comprehensive product knowledge to inform customers about NbC's cake varieties, sizes, flavors, pricing, special offers, and complimentary retail items.
  • Recommends additional products, such as balloons, candles, and greeting cards, to enhance the celebration experience.
  • Efficiently processes customer orders using the point-of-sale system and encourages customers to join the NbC Email Club for exclusive promotions and updates.
  • Ensures a clean and organized bakery environment, which may involve routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting surfaces.
  • Restocks retail items and cake displays to maintain an appealing visual presentation.
  • Prepares cake and balloon orders according to customer specifications, adhering to NbC's decorating and presentation standards.
  • Manages workload effectively to ensure timely completion of all orders for pick-up or delivery, while also crafting orders for walk-in customers.
  • Prepares cake decorations, packaging materials, and other supplies in advance to meet customer demand.
  • Monitors inventory levels of cake-making supplies and informs management when restocking is necessary.
  • Inspects frosted and decorated cakes to ensure they meet NbC quality standards and alerts management to any issues.
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks the workstation, ensuring all tools are ready for the next shift.
  • Assists the Guest Service Representative in serving walk-in customers and answering phone inquiries as needed.
  • Adheres to all health and safety regulations and NbC policies, including strict compliance with dress code and personal hygiene standards.
  • Maintains consistent attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • While formal education or prior experience is not mandatory, experience in customer service within a bakery, restaurant, or retail setting is advantageous.
Availability:
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. We are accommodating and willing to work with your schedule.
