Foreman - Crew Leader Arborist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crew Leader to join our team at Lewis Tree Service. As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of arborists and ensuring the successful completion of daily production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of arborists to achieve maximum results in operational priorities.
  • Provide accurate payroll and revenue information to the General Foreman.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and daily work requirements.
  • Observe, support, and provide guidance to Crew Leaders.
  • Oversee all OSHA and ANSI Standards, as well as company safety and personnel policies.
  • Assist the General Foreman with equipment repairs and scheduling of Preventive Maintenance.
  • Assist the General Foreman in the bidding of work.
  • Obtain necessary permissions for crews to begin work.
  • Communicate daily with the General Foreman on crew activity, equipment problems, and safety issues.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years' experience as a Crew Leader or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the general public, customers, and fellow employees.
  • Must have met all qualifications of a Crew Leader.
  • Must be well-groomed and professionally dressed.
  • Must be willing to travel, including overnight stays.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Herbicide Applicators or Operators Certification license, ISA certification, and/or other certifications as required by the job.
  • Understand that hours of service will typically exceed that of a Crew Leader.
  • Must be computer literate and able to read maps.
  • Must be physically able to walk utility lines, both on and off the road.
  • Have a valid driver's license, CDL, and/or medical certificate required for the vehicle being operated.
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR cards.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and job duty skills tests.
