Job Summary:

The Land Survey Specialist is responsible for providing a comprehensive route from the existing infrastructure to the customer, outlining all construction requirements for the proposed path. This role involves conducting commercial walkout surveys to facilitate new service delivery to end users while ensuring all tasks align with customer and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
  • Conduct commercial walkout surveys to facilitate new service delivery to end users.
  • Ensure all tasks are executed in accordance with customer and industry standards.
  • Follow established guidelines to provide a detailed route from existing infrastructure to customer demarcation, noting all required construction types along the proposed path.
  • Gather accurate field information, verify records, and document all details for aerial and underground telecommunications, including fiber, coax, poles, pedestals, and more.
  • Utilize plat maps to create a foundational scope of work.
  • Communicate with customers to schedule field visits.
  • Survey the job site and design the route for cable installation (overhead & underground).
  • Employ measuring tools and locators for on-site surveys.
  • Conduct research and develop job plans using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Complete work within a designated timeframe.
  • Research additional property information (easements).
  • Update spreadsheets to track progress and facilitate communication.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of completion.
  • Capacity to follow written and oral instructions effectively.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating with superiors and subordinates.
  • Competence in operating a computer and utilizing various software programs, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications/construction with related project management experience.
