About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Geomatics Technician to support our office and field staff in processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. As a key member of our team, you will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor.
  • Monitor field crews production and quality assurance.
  • Prepare survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions and alignment drawings.
  • Perform quality control checks of plats, drawings and deliverables prepared by other technicians.
  • Coordinate with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met.

Requirements

  • 5+ years field and office experience in route survey projects, boundary analysis, DTM projects, and construction layout and data processing.
  • Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D required; MicroStation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus.
  • Familiarity with GIS platforms is a plus however it is not necessary.
  • S.I.T. Certification is a plus however, it is not necessary.
