Special Education Instructor

We are seeking an experienced Special Education Instructor to join our team in the Washington, DC area.
Job SummaryThis role involves working collaboratively with parents, general education teachers, and other specialists to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The successful candidate will be responsible for setting specific, measurable goals and objectives for each student based on their unique needs.
- Develop and use specialized teaching materials and strategies to support student learning.
- Regularly assess and monitor student performance and progress toward IEP goals.
- Teach academic and life skills using specialized instructional methods.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group instruction to support individual learning needs.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and experience in working within all school settings. They will also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work amiably with colleagues, students, and their families.
CompensationThe estimated salary range for this position is $30.00+/hr, depending on experience.
