Job Overview

This role involves operating machinery and equipment in a processing facility, ensuring product quality and safety requirements are met, while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate complex machinery and equipment under general supervision, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, sanitation, and general appearance of assigned work areas.
  • Conduct regular inspections, monitor equipment performance, record parameters, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal output.
  • Ensure effective implementation of Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
  • Perform sampling and testing of process streams as required.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements, including accurate record keeping.
  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Loading and unloading products from trucks and trains, and moving materials efficiently.
  • Monitor, maintain, and care for issued tools and equipment.
  • Succeed in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support plant operations effectively.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in Operations or Production Operations.
  • Meet the minimum age requirement.
Additional Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Pass pre-employment screenings, including drug, criminal, and motor vehicle checks if required.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work independently and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to spend extended periods on feet, walking, standing, climbing, and working at heights up to 120 ft.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Wear protective equipment, including respirators, hard hats, and eye and hearing protection as needed.
  • Use automated and manual tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $45,000-$65,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
