Medical Practice Patient Representative

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Practice Patient Representative to join our team at Nuvance Health Med Practice PC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure a seamless experience for our patients.
Responsibilities- Ensure accurate patient information, including demographics and insurance, to facilitate efficient care.
- Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Manage phone calls, messages, and correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Coordinate patient appointments, testing, and referrals, rescheduling as needed.
- Process medical records, including copying, billing, and recording, to maintain accurate patient information.
- Collect co-pays and reconcile funds, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
- Coordinate record retrieval for new and established patients, maintaining confidentiality and security.
- Perform audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process medical records and documentation via eFax, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Present a professional image and adhere to Nuvance Health Values.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality, ensuring seamless operations.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook and data entry.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a medical office setting.
- Desirable: Practice Management System experience, medical office experience, and MS Excel skills.
This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek. The work schedule is 8 hours per day, with a Day 8 shift. The location is Poughkeepsie-7 Fox Street, and the department is Nursing Floats.
