Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our team at PrimeCare Community Health. As a key member of our dental team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our staff, and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct dental diagnosis, treatment, and care to patients of all age groups.
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed dental conditions.
  • Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as needed.
  • Manage daily operations of patient care and direct dental technical and support staff as required.
  • Follow established department policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Participate in health/dental promotion, education, and/or prevention and risk assessments as appropriate to the position.
  • Develop and implement individualized dental care plans for patients and risk protocols.
  • Manage the dental office infection control plan to meet OSHA, CDC, ADA, and HIPAA Standards.
Requirements
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Knowledge of community-based dental practices.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of dental evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in area of expertise.
  • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for delivery of dental care.
  • Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
  • Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosage and instruct patients in correct usage.
Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and move around the clinic site 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer, computer printer, copy machine, and telephone. Occasionally positions self to maintain exertion of physical strength to move objects of 10 pounds from one level to another. Must be able to transport from one site to another and cover other shifts as necessary.

Salary

All wages are based on relevant years of experience and/or licensure. The minimum rate is the wage that a new residency graduate earns. PrimeCare Community Health is part of the National Health Service Corps, as such, you would be able to participate in their Loan Repayment Program.

In accordance with Illinois Executive order (COVID-19 No.87) effective on August 26, 2021, in conjunction with the Federal CDC guidelines, COVID vaccinations are now a requirement for PrimeCare Community Health as well as many other Healthcare Organizations.
