CNC Machinist Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at SPX FLOW, Inc. in Delavan, WI. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC and manual machine tools to produce machined parts and components for shipments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools, including drill presses, lapping machines, cut-off machines, grinding machines, and broaches.
  • Load and edit programs via dry-run simulation for CNC machines.
  • Make necessary offset adjustments to CNC machines.
  • Read and interpret work order operation information to select the proper work center and identify required tooling and/or programs.
  • Obtain and install proper tooling, such as jaws, chucks, faceplates, spindle liners, arbors, centers, and cutting tools.
  • Use gauges and precision instruments to inspect production pieces and make necessary program and tooling adjustments.
  • Process work orders via SAP in a timely manner.
  • Assist manufacturing engineering in process improvements.
  • Train other employees as needed.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred; or combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of machining experience preferred.
  • Experience with mills and/or lathes preferred.
  • Previous set-up experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit.

Working Conditions:

The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Specific PPE is required within the cell.
