About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Southcoast Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request.
  • Obtain pertinent information from patient's chart and document all data within the EHR.
  • Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
  • Identify, prepare, and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
  • Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
  • Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others and aware of MR safety practices.
  • Assist physicians in performing procedures.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography within one year of eligibility.
  • Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • Must be willing to train in Mammography and Bone Density when needed.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
