Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team on a weekend alternative premium schedule. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomographic scanners to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies and disease.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, administer oral and intravenous contrast media, and operate scanners according to protocol using ALARA techniques.
  • Review patient charts and radiological history to determine proper protocol based on physician orders and patient history.
  • Transfer patients to the CT table, assist with positioning, and apply immobilization and support devices as necessary.
  • Administer contrast media per protocol and radiologist orders, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Observe case progress and patient condition before and during procedures, recognizing changes that may require emergency actions.
  • Maintain cleanliness of patient and staff areas, and assist with transporting patients when necessary.
  • Document reactions, complications, and follow up with phone calls to referring physicians and nursing units as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ARRT(R) registered.
  • Prefer 6 months of CT and or diagnostic imaging experience.
