Adversary Air Operations Pilot
Salary range: $190,000 - $200,000
Position Overview
Tactical Air is actively seeking a highly skilled Adversary Air (ADAIR) Pilot. This role involves operating advanced fighter aircraft to provide critical support for military training exercises across various branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be tasked with flying Tactical Air's F-5E/F Advanced Tiger (F-5AT) aircraft, delivering essential combat airborne adversary training services. Candidates will undergo comprehensive training on the F-5AT prior to their assignment.
The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience, professionalism, and a strong commitment to teamwork. They will be expected to ensure the safe and effective operation of company-owned aircraft while meeting the needs of the Department of Defense (DoD) clients. Flexibility for travel to support various operational requirements is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of tactical recency experience, or alternatively, eight years of relevant experience in military or government aviation.
- Proven flight experience in fighter, attack, or trainer aircraft.
- A minimum of 1000 flight hours in fighter, attack, or trainer aircraft, including at least 300 hours in fighter operations.
- DoD flight lead qualification is required.
- Willingness to travel regularly to various work sites across the U.S.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license.
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Graduation from a Weapon School or experience as a DoD Adversary.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance if necessary).
- Capability to regularly ascend and descend stairs and/or ladders.
Work Environment and Authorization
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
- Tactical Air Support maintains a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing is required.
- Physical certifications are required both pre-employment and ongoing.
- Work may involve exposure to aircraft hangars or warehouses with loud noises, fumes, and variable climate conditions.
- Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be necessary.
- Travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
