About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at Liberty Mutual. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting policies within your authority, making analytical decisions based on data and information provided, and pricing risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of brokers/agents and clients, leveraging market presence and knowledge to develop and underwrite profitable business.
  • Act as a representative for Liberty Mutual, maintaining a strong market presence and establishing relationships with agents and brokers.
  • Contribute to team projects, such as process and tool improvement, and participate in product development and execution.
  • Mentor junior underwriters and new hires, and analyze department portfolios to make suggestions for development.
Requirements
  • Degree in Business or equivalent typically required.
  • A minimum of 2.5 years, typically 3 or more years, of progressive underwriting experience and/or other related experience.
  • CPCU or professional insurance designation preferred.
