Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat diseases, and provide preventive care according to patient signalment, lifestyle, and environment.
  • Utilize a problem-based approach to develop complete problem lists, differential diagnoses, diagnostic plans, and treatments based on test results.
  • Document patient observations, findings, treatments, and medications in the medical record.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be compassionate and sympathetic, and maintain a professional attitude in emotional and stressful situations. A strong ability to work as a team player, learn new techniques, and adapt to change is essential.

Education and Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located.
  • Current DEA license.
  • USDA Category I accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
