Portable Plant Operations Manager

Cessford Construction Company, a CRH company, is a leading supplier of construction materials in Central Iowa, Southeast Iowa, and West Central Illinois. We are seeking a highly skilled Portable Plant Supervisor to lead our daily production needs and assist with operations and maintenance of our plants.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure safe working conditions for all employees and work with safety and field personnel to minimize risk and increase safety.
- Responsible for daily operations, including safe production, quality, customer focus, and maintaining safety and environmental systems.
- Build effective teams and develop direct reports for future opportunities.
- Lead team in personal performance management, training, and development, succession planning.
- Monitor and control the portable plant through administrative direction of direct reports to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Assist in Continuous Plant Improvement through performance standards.
- Assist with plant and equipment preventative maintenance programs.
- Assist in daily operations of aggregates production.
- Perform daily safety checks of all equipment and plant operations to stay in compliance with OSHA and/or MSHA.
- Perform general labor tasks as needed.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience and/or training in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in the heavy construction industry or aggregates production industry helpful.
- Valid Driver's License (DL) and satisfactory driving record required.
