Medical Examiner Assistant

As a Medical Examiner Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting pathologists with postmortem examinations, including prosection, rendering the provisional anatomic diagnosis, composing the clinical history, recording macroscopic anatomic findings, and submitting tissue sections for microscopic examination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist pathologists with postmortem examinations
• Perform prosection and record macroscopic anatomic findings
• Compose the clinical history and submit tissue sections for microscopic examination
Requirements:
• 1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
• Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
• Additional requirements & certifications as may be requested by the specific facility/unit
