Site Improvement Foreman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Improvement Foreman to join our Excavation Department at Edgewood Properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing Operators and Laborers assigned to the crew, as well as performing work and assisting the crew.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage Operators and Laborers assigned to the crew
- Operate heavy equipment as required to complete assigned tasks
- Review and understand project documents, including construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and RFIs
- Coordinate with Project Super to ensure all required manpower and equipment are available onsite
- Manage and track materials, including receipt, count, and check deliveries
- Prepare daily reports, including production notes, issues encountered, and equipment used
- Responsible for equipment and tools assigned
- Report equipment breakdowns and issues to Site Super and call into shop
- Do payroll report for crew
- Responsible for jobsite safety and ensure proper PPE is worn
- Perform toolbox talks and coordinate activities with other crews and trades onsite
- Prepare 'redline' as-builts and field notes for work performed
- Inspect all work and ensure quality of work performed
- Respect work performed by others and advise crew members of schedule and tasks
- Report employees who call out to Site Super and Office
- Ensure equipment is staged neatly and machines and tracks are cleaned
- Attend meetings as required and assist with snow removal and salting operations
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in all aspects of site improvements, including earthwork operations, sanitary sewer, drainage, water, concrete, paving, and utility installation. They must also have experience in Multi-Family, Commercial/Industrial Construction projects and be able to read and understand all project documents.
