We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitalist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care within a supportive hospital environment. This role involves managing 13 inpatient beds, with plans for expansion to 20 beds in the near future.
Employment ModelThis position is structured as a hospital employment model, offering a complete benefits package that includes:
- Health insurance
- Relocation assistance
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) support
You will collaborate with a skilled team that includes:
- The Chair of Psychiatry
- Two experienced Psychiatric Physician Assistants
- A part-time Hospital-Psychiatrist
Your primary duties will encompass:
- Rounding on inpatients
- Responding to psychiatric consult requests for patients in various medical/surgical wards
This is a Monday to Friday position, with hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role is strictly inpatient only, and there is no on-call requirement unless you choose to take on additional shifts for extra compensation.
Facility OverviewJoin a 300-bed acute care medical center that features a Level II designated Emergency Room with specialized psychiatric emergency services for both adults and children.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive annual salary, along with a relocation bonus and financial support for CME. Opportunities for academic involvement and teaching are also available.
