Key Responsibilities of Our Clinical Nurse Specialists Include:
- Utilizes nursing principles for the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and assessment of patient responses to health conditions.
- Evaluates patient healthcare preferences and expectations.
- Effectively coordinates the continuum of care across different settings.
- Creates patient care plans tailored to individual conditions, age, and psychological, educational, and socioeconomic factors, prescribing interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
- Implements patient care plans based on patient priorities, including interventions identified through nursing diagnoses. Documents and reports interventions and patient/family responses.
- Collaborates with patients and families to integrate their contributions into a multidisciplinary patient care plan.
- Develops, coordinates, and implements transfer and discharge planning throughout the care episode.
- Implements nursing interventions in accordance with departmental, divisional, and/or unit policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Adheres to universal precautions.
Work Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, with weekend rotation.
Compensation: $54,000 to commensurate, excluding additional inpatient differentials and potential shift differentials.

- An Associate's Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, or a Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with patients, families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
- General computer proficiency is required.
- Current nursing license in Iowa is required by the date of hire.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
