The Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program (NG-MIP) is a sanctioned SkillBridge initiative under Department of Defense guidelines. This program offers transitioning service members the chance to acquire valuable civilian work experience through individual internships during their final six months of service, lasting up to 180 days. The NG-MIP is accessible to all ranks and experience levels. Participants in SkillBridge will not receive compensation from Northrop Grumman, as they will continue to receive military pay and benefits as active-duty personnel. .

Responsibilities for this internship position include:

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has established the Northrop Grumman – Military Internship Program (DoD SkillBridge) in accordance with DoDI guidelines. During this program, service members will be on-site at their host company, engaging in an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career role. Participants will undergo on-the-job training, supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40 hours per week. Below are the Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes for the program.

Goals – To provide transitioning service members with fellowship-style job skills training during the concluding phases of their military service. This program is specifically designed to offer internships that may lead to full-time employment upon completion of the training. Interns will serve as a conduit for high-caliber, motivated military candidates into NGC.

Objectives - Service members who successfully complete the internship program will emerge as highly-trained, capable future employees, aligned with the specific needs of the organization and ready to meet the NG mission of "Defining Possible" from Day 1. This program delivers a comprehensive internship experience, including professional development, networking with leadership, and training focused on NG leadership principles, company history, stakeholder engagement, product and service overview, and core job responsibilities.

Outcome – To provide transitioning service members with a fulfilling opportunity to join the Northrop Grumman team.

DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:

Must have served at least 180 days on active duty Must be within 12 months of separation or retirement Must receive an honorable discharge Must have completed any service TAPS/TGPS Must have attended or participated in an ethics briefing within the last 12 months Must have received written authorization and approval from the Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in the chain of command) to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program prior to the start of the internship.

Roles and Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

Oversee management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure contractual and continual accountability of government, customer, and company assets under various NG Marine systems contracts. Conduct property surveillance assessments at supplier/subcontractor locations. Generate various material and tagged asset reports. Prepare contract transfer documentation. Compile and submit property financial reports while coordinating the physical inventory process. Review property records and update inventory in the property database. Maintain a high level of interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. Assist in Contractor Self-Assessment (CSA) evaluations. Collaborate with Buyers, Subcontract Administrators, and Property Focal Points (PFPs) to ensure asset accountability is upheld. Support suppliers/subcontractors in the property management lifecycle recovery plans, as needed. Assist other team members as necessary.

Basic Qualifications (Level 3)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Finance, or a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience in Property/Asset Management - OR - a Master's degree from an accredited institution with 4+ years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Proficient PC skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel. Experience contributing to the development of innovative property/asset management concepts, techniques, and standards. Ability to interpret and exercise independent judgment based on federal regulations, FAR, and applicable DFARS. Familiarity with industry-leading best practices, techniques, and standards as they relate to property and asset management. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Basic Qualifications (Level 4)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Finance, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience in Property/Asset Management - OR - a Master's degree from an accredited institution with 8+ years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Proficient PC skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel. Experience contributing to the development of innovative property/asset management concepts, techniques, and standards. Ability to interpret and exercise independent judgment based on federal regulations, FAR, and applicable DFARS. Familiarity with industry-leading best practices, techniques, and standards as they relate to property and asset management. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications (Level 3 / 4)

Experience with SAP environments. National Property Management Association (NPMA) Certifications (CPPS, CPPA, CPPM). Aerospace/Defense Industry experience. Current DoD Secret level security clearance. Salary Range: $80,600 - $100,800 Salary Range 2: $100,000 - $150,000. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
