Job Title: Software Developer Analyst II

The Institute for Child Health Policy (ICHP) at the University of Florida is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join the web applications development team in our state-wide external quality review project (Texas EQRO). This individual will work in a team setting maintaining existing applications as well as working with Team Leaders to develop new applications/features. This individual will communicate with faculty and staff as well as other internal and external constituencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in requirements gathering and analysis to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and implement web applications based on specifications and requirements.
  • Write and maintain code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Test and debug code to ensure quality and functionality of applications.
  • Collaborate with team members, and customers throughout the software development life cycle.
Support:
  • Provide ongoing support for existing applications, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Maintain and update documentation related to applications, processes, and procedures.
  • Monitor application performance and address any performance issues for bottlenecks.
  • Assist users with application-related questions or problems and provide training when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience.
  • Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent and five years of relevant experience or Master degree in computer science with two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience developing backend APIs using.NET or similar frameworks.
  • Experience in front end design using SPA frameworks such as Angular, React.
  • Experience working with relational database and SQL Language.
  • Software development life cycle.
  • Manual and automated application testing.
  • Project defect tracking and remediation.
