Job Summary:

Wexford Health Sources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to serve as a Mental Health Services Director at our facility in Lincoln, IL. As a key member of our team, you will provide guidance, direction, and clinical supervision to our Mental Health Professionals, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical screenings and assessments for treatment needs of offenders referred by medical, counseling, security, or other center staff.
  • Directly supervise site Mental Health staff, including hiring, scheduling, assigning duties, evaluating performance, disciplining, adjusting grievances, and discharging.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Wardens, Assistant Wardens, Health Care Unit Administrators, Mental Health Administrators, and other facility management officials.
  • Respond to requests for information or assistance in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Regional Team meetings and teleconferences as requested.
  • Collect data and generate reports as required or requested.
  • Ensure clinical and facility-based orientation of newly employed MHPs.
  • Conduct quarterly in-service training for all MHPs regarding clinical issues of concern.
  • Provide guidance and direction to MHPs relative to Crisis Intervention Team training and leadership.
  • Assist MHPs in the development and operation of psychoeducational and psychotherapy groups.
  • Offer assistance and support to MHPs in their preparation for mental health monitoring visits, internal and external audits, and peer reviews.
  • Ensure MHPs develop and maintain effective and efficient mental health delivery record-keeping and data management systems.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in Illinois.
  • Current CPR Certification from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety and Health Institute.
  • Doctoral level degree in Psychology.
