As an Electrical Assembler, you will operate under general supervision to execute the installation and wiring of electrical components on equipment produced by the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble intricate electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings using rivets, bolts, and soldering tools.
- Label, wire, and connect switch boxes and control panel terminal boards according to wiring diagrams. - Verify wiring for correct coding and termination; check for shorts and grounds for continuity; report any design or print discrepancies to the supervisor. - Engage in testing of completed machines; diagnose and resolve electrical issues; propose additional testing protocols and assist with design and documentation. - Identify defective materials, unusual conditions, or operational challenges; provide necessary documentation to facilitate corrective actions. - Complete required documentation to meet quality and production standards. - Collaborate with other departments to address corrective actions or quality concerns and to recommend design modifications or enhancements. - Assist as needed to maintain a smooth workflow in the assigned area; participate in training of less experienced associates. - Lead, guide, and mentor less experienced team members. - Review and prioritize shortages and report quality issues, communicate concerns, and suggest corrective measures, with the ability to manage multiple tasks as necessary. - Communicate regularly and interact effectively with fellow team members.- Attend scheduled shifts at the worksite as required for this position; availability for overtime as needed.
- Adhere to established safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Certification or a 2-year degree related to electrical systems AND/OR 5+ years of experience in electrical wiring or installation.
