Job Details

This role will involve:

  • Directing and managing multiple concurrent engineering projects and project managers to ensure their success in meeting their objectives.
  • Implementing approved engineering budgets and monitoring actual expenses to ensure they fall within budgets.
  • Directing and supporting maintenance and engineering efforts to improve plant performance related to safety, quality delivery, and cost.
  • Developing engineered solutions for plant safety and environmental issues.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of the 5-year strategy for Tennessee Operations.
  • Mentoring staff, including engineers, plant manufacturing personnel, maintenance mechanics, and electricians.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing industry, preferably metals industry.
  • 5-9 years' experience in project management.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years of experience and expertise in one of the following specialized technical areas: casting, hot rolling, cold rolling, mill finishing, or facilities.
  • 10-12 years' experience in project management.
  • 8+ years' experience in a supervisory role.
