Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and helpful service to all customers
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation, adhering to 5S standards
  • Cut meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers, and grinders
  • Operate the meat department in the absence of the meat manager
  • Ensure proper wrapping, weighing, labeling, and displaying of all meat merchandise
  • Adhere to all company meat department standards, including case layout and trim specifications
  • Adhere to proper sanitation and temperature guidelines, including corporate and state inspection standards
  • Maintain grind logs and meat logs consistent with store policy
  • Receive all meat merchandise, including DSD and warehouse deliveries
  • Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives
  • Ability to pass a cutting test
  • Satisfactory performance reviews
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 6-12 months of related experience
