Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder at Alamo Group, you'll work with average to complicated blueprints and operation sheets to consistently produce high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fit up, tack weld, and finish weld jobs assigned to you
  • Read blueprints at an intermediate level
  • Set gas and oxygen levels for cutting torches
  • Cut steel and other metals straight and within acceptable tolerances
  • Perform related tasks, including grinding, cutting, and removing scrap
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to pass welding test
  • Ability to read, write legibly, and carry out verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist/turn, bend/squat, climb, reach below knees, and reach above shoulders on a continuous basis
  • Frequent use of powered material handling equipment
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 15 lbs unassisted, occasionally lift/carry 16-50 lbs unassisted
