About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our team at Axos Bank. As a key member of our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Portfolio Management team, you will be responsible for managing a complex commercial loan portfolio, applying portfolio management processes and procedures, and commercial credit policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the deal team in providing a risk management and objective focus to portfolio commercial loan relationships
  • Manage and monitor a commercial portfolio, recognizing and managing early warning signs for the portfolio on a recurring basis
  • Recommend changes in structure or account management strategy to address negative trends
  • Manage and monitor loan products, including affirmative and negative financial covenant compliance, and comply with internal and external regulatory requirements
  • Manage ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ongoing monitoring of financial trends, collateral trends, and liquidity
  • Recommend appropriate courses of action to address risk management and credit issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • 5+ years working in a financial institution
  • 3+ years in a transactional role
  • Demonstrate a strong level of commercial credit underwriting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Syndicated lending and/or management experience
