Job Title: Database Administrator

At Affiliated Distributors, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and securing our databases to ensure seamless integration with production systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement database architectures to optimize performance and security.
  • Develop and maintain database security protocols to safeguard vital data.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure database availability and security across all environments.
  • Optimize database performance and capacity to meet business needs.
  • Develop and implement SQL procedures for enterprise database queries, updates, and performance tuning.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of hands-on experience with Oracle databases.
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience working in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tools.
Desired Skills:
  • Proficient in administering Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Able to design and implement security protocols within database structures.
  • Experienced in managing and improving in-house database security, minimizing reliance on third-party services.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position based in Wayne, PA, with a hybrid work schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work in the office three days a week and remotely two days a week.
