We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler for our 2nd Shift operations. The working hours are from 1 pm until completion, Monday through Friday.
Position Overview: Under general supervision, the role involves verifying, storing, and organizing materials within the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities: The following tasks are typically associated with this position; however, employees may also undertake additional related responsibilities:
- Transport materials and products from receiving or storage locations to shipping or other designated areas.
- Sort and arrange materials or products on racks, shelves, or in bins based on predetermined criteria such as size, type, style, or product code.
- Restock materials in designated bin locations or fulfill requisitions for materials and distribute items to assigned delivery vehicles.
- Bundle and secure materials together; prepare orders for shipping and coordinate pick-up or truck delivery.
- Measure, cut, and package materials as required.
- Complete necessary Material Movement documentation.
- Open various containers including boxes and crates.
- Inspect stock for signs of deterioration and defects, reporting any findings.
- Assist in the physical inventory counting process.
- Conduct daily inspections of the Raymond fork lift for damages and report any issues.
- Operate Raymond fork-lifts to load trucks for subsequent deliveries.
- Maintain organization within the warehouse and work area at all times.
- Adhere to Company and OSHA regulations; engage in safety and accident prevention meetings.
- Utilize safety equipment consistently.
- Perform maintenance duties as necessary.
- Additional tasks may be assigned to support business needs.
Qualifications:
- Fork lift experience is advantageous, but not mandatory.
- Basic mathematical skills are required.
- Ability to read a tape measure is essential.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday is necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of lifting and carrying heavy materials up to 50 lbs.; ability to climb, crawl, and stoop to access materials; capable of bending at the waist, kneeling, or crouching for extended periods; and reaching overhead and horizontally.
