Holtec International, a leading global supplier of equipment and systems for the energy industry, is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join its team.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating 3D electrical models of the electrical systems within and supporting the SMR plant, utilizing Smart3D (formerly SmartPlant 3D). This includes designing single line diagrams, cable trays, raceways, lighting, duct banks, cable routing, pull boxes, and embedded conduit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate and constructable 3D electrical models using Smart3D
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards, contract requirements, and company standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate knowledge transfer and effective communication
- Develop and deliver design deliverables that meet industry standards and company expectations
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a SmartPlant 3D Electrical Designer
- Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards, and design and/or layout criteria
- Strong knowledge of electrical drafting and design standards and techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and capability of producing error-free documents
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working understanding and hands-on experience of other design software, such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, and Revit
- Completion of Intergraph/Hexagon certified training courses
- Professional certification in Electrical design
- Progressive work experience in design or other relevant types of engineering
