Chief Information Security Office (CISO)

The CISO is responsible for ensuring the cyber security of Citi's technical assets. Our team utilizes cutting-edge cloud and container technologies to maintain best-in-class security and reassure our business lines and clients.

Role Overview

This role sits within the Cloud Security team, responsible for Private and Public Cloud Security, Container Security, and strategic Secrets products. As we expand our program, we are creating a consolidated SRE team to work across our portfolio of products.

As a member of the SRE team, you will work towards our SRE strategy and operating model, driving a multi-year transformation journey. Engineering excellence and secure-by-design principles are essential to our CISO organization.

You will raise the bar on our existing products and frameworks, while collaborating with Engineering and Operations teams to build out the SRE capability and evangelize SRE best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work across Container products and Secrets products, Public and Private Cloud, and Cloud-native specific products
  • Architect and build tools and platforms for SRE capabilities
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and partners across Engineering and Operations, and partner teams within Citi
  • Own production-level incidents until resolution
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Certification or formal training in site reliability engineering concepts and practices
  • Prior experience working towards SLIs, SLOs, and observability capabilities at a large scale
  • 5+ years of experience in Python or Java, on large-scale systems, alongside Linux-based scripting languages
  • Experience working on observability, logging, and metrics toolsets
  • Experience with k8s and container technologies, such as Docker, Openshift, and EKS
  • Experience with public cloud technologies, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with Secrets products, such as HashiCorp Vault or CyberArk
  • Ability to navigate large and complex organizations
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes
