Position Details:
Location: Douglassville, PA
Schedule: Friday to Sunday, 5 AM to 5 PM
Compensation: Starting at $18.61 per hour, with an additional $6 per hour shift differential, totaling $24.61 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of finished products, ensuring compliance with company standards regarding height, shape, color, and consistency.
- Perform quality checks, removing defective items and replacing them with acceptable products, as per the assigned line and process.
- Oversee packaging processes, ensuring all products are securely and neatly packaged, including adding necessary materials and labels.
- Assist machine operators and support various tasks such as pallet repair and general maintenance as directed.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures to meet or exceed quality assurance standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and assist with overall plant cleanliness.
- Utilize personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols diligently.
- Comply with lockout/tagout procedures and other safety regulations.
- Exhibit behaviors that align with Techo-Bloc's vision, mission, and values.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
- Capability to write basic correspondence and memos.
- Strong collaborative skills to communicate effectively on the shop floor.
- Proficiency in performing essential duties to meet company standards.
- Basic knowledge of machinery operation (not as a machine operator).
- Mathematical skills for basic calculations.
- Problem-solving abilities and common sense application.
- Punctuality and reliability in attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Multitasking capabilities.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
- One year of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this role include the ability to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Employees must be able to inspect materials closely and identify color variations. The role requires mobility throughout the workstations, including the ability to navigate steps and tight spaces. Regular reaching, talking, and hearing are also necessary.
