Job Summary:

This role is responsible for fostering a high-energy, positive atmosphere, where behaviors that promote client-centric service are consistently exhibited.

The Assistant Salon Manager drives store performance, encourages exceptional client service, and upholds operational excellence to meet or exceed established productivity targets.

This individual will oversee and guide Tanning Consultants to achieve company objectives and will exemplify best practices in all company operations.

The Assistant Salon Manager instills a sense of urgency to meet goals and holds the team accountable for delivering an outstanding client experience.


Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Oversee and manage daily salon operations in a dynamic environment.

- Lead by example in all company practices, including creating a client-focused experience and achieving personal sales targets.

- Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.

- Set clear goals and objectives for team members.

- Provide coaching, training, and feedback to enhance team members' daily performance.

- Generate sales reports, manage inventory, and assist with other managerial functions.

- Support the Salon Director in managing revenue and expenses.

- Help maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and exceptional customer service while controlling labor costs.

- Availability to work evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays as needed for management coverage.

- Reliable transportation for banking needs.


Expect to work five days a week, with a schedule of approximately 40 to 45 hours depending on hourly or salary status.


Qualifications:
- College education preferred, but not mandatory.

- Management and/or sales experience preferred, but not mandatory.

- Basic computer skills (proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook).

- Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple situations simultaneously.

- Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.

- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while understanding supervisory practices and procedures.

- Team-building capabilities.

- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

- Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.

- Ability to lift or assist in lifting heavy items.

- Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc.

- Ability to perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
