Sentara Health is seeking a Nutrition Specialist in Charlottesville, Virginia.

This is a Part-Time Day shift role that offers EXCELLENT BENEFITS.

The Nutrition Specialist is tasked with overseeing patients' medical nutrition therapy in line with the clinical practice standards approved by the medical staff in an outpatient environment. This role also serves as a valuable resource for nutrition education.

Qualifications:
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) - National Certification
  • Registered Dietician (RD) - National Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - National Certification
If the Bachelor's Degree is in a field other than Dietetics, completion of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics is required.

If not a Registered Dietitian or RDN at the time of hire, certification must be obtained within 9 months.

BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Job Summary

Responsible for managing patients' medical nutrition therapy in accordance with the approved clinical practice standards. Acts as a resource for nutrition education.
