Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Ralphs, a part of the Kroger family of companies. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment. You will be the face of our coffee shop, ensuring that every customer feels welcome and valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to every customer, ensuring that they feel welcome and valued.
  • Product Knowledge: Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals.
  • Beverage Preparation: Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and to customer's requests using proper equipment.
  • Product Sampling: Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products for which they inquire about.
  • Inventory Management: Check product quality to ensure freshness and review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Properly use kitchen equipment, espresso machine, blender, computerized scale and steamer.
  • Store Maintenance: Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
  • Communication: Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager and stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
  • Safety and Security: Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
