Cindavi is seeking an Automation Systems Developer to lead cutting-edge automation projects from concept to completion. As an Automation Systems Developer, you will leverage your technical expertise in control systems and robotics to deliver innovative solutions for diverse industries.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of industrial controls and robotics concepts, with proficiency in robot programming and experience setting up machine vision for presence and inspection. This role requires technical proficiency across multiple industrial controls platforms and the ability to interact directly with customers during design reviews, project updates, runoffs, and installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design complete automation systems using AutoCAD Electrical software, including power distribution, safety circuits, I/O controls, communications, and panel layout drawings.
  • Calculate Short-Circuit Current Rating (SCCR), power ratings, and Full Load Amperage (FLA) for panel rating.
  • Develop and program custom automation systems from scratch, including PLC, HMI, and robot programming for conveyor lines and robot cells.
  • Configure, debug, and test equipment on the shop floor to prepare for customer reviews and runoffs.
  • Lead runoffs on the shop floor with customers, direct electrical assembly during equipment installation, and manage project start-up at customer sites to drive projects to completion.
  • Ensure projects are completed within allocated time and budget constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of controls experience in the machine building OEM industry is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of industrial controls and robotics concepts.
  • Proficiency in robot programming, with Fanuc experience preferred.
  • Experience setting up machine vision for presence and inspection, with Cognex and/or Fanuc IRVision preferred.
