Reports To: Assistant Principal and/or Principal

Position Overview:

The Visual Arts Educator plays a crucial role in fostering a stimulating educational environment where students can thrive in their intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates the educational journey of students in the classroom, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives and educational standards.
  • Designs and implements engaging instructional activities that promote active participation and meaningful learning experiences.
  • Adapts instructional materials to cater to the diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and specific needs of students.
  • Contributes to the evaluation of curricular needs and proposes enhancements for improvement.
  • Maintains professional responsibilities including attendance, record-keeping, and timely submission of reports.
  • Creates a supportive environment that encourages student engagement in the learning process.
  • Regularly communicates with students, parents, and educational professionals to provide feedback on student progress and instructional planning.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to enrich the instructional setting.
  • Exemplifies professional and ethical standards in interactions with students, parents, peers, and the community.
  • Ensures continuous and appropriate student growth and achievement in alignment with age, subject area, and program classification.
  • Establishes and nurtures cooperative relationships with students, parents, and educational institutions.
  • Takes responsibility for achieving personal and school-wide student performance objectives.
  • Demonstrates improvements in student performance.
  • Utilizes technology effectively, including student databases and online learning platforms.
  • Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits.
  • Adheres to all school policies and procedures.
  • Engages collaboratively with school personnel.
  • Communicates thoughts clearly and professionally in both oral and written formats.
  • Stays informed about current educational research, trends, and issues through participation in professional development activities.
  • Documents and reports attendance as required, ensuring all necessary documentation for payment processing is submitted.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience in teaching and online education is preferred.
  • Teaching certification is desirable.
  • Proficiency in the target language where applicable.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to achieving educational goals.
  • Exhibits effective multitasking and time management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices is essential.
  • Ability to adhere to an established work schedule.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Proficient in computer and technology applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Capable of working independently and completing assignments within established guidelines.
Work Environment:
