About the Role

Kaufman Hall is seeking a seasoned professional to serve as Vice President of Thought Leadership, responsible for developing and advancing the company's thought leadership position within the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive thought leadership strategy to position Kaufman Hall as a leading authority in healthcare
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to inform content development and ensure accuracy and credibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging content, including blog posts, articles, research reports, presentations, podcasts, and videos
  • Plan and execute speaking engagements, podcast and video production, publishing, and collaborations with other organizations
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare research, writing, and communications
  • Superior writing and research skills, with the ability to clearly express complex ideas and information in an engaging style
  • Experience with a range of communications formats, including speeches, short- and long-form prose, PowerPoint presentations, podcasts, and video
  • Ability to work under deadline and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication, people, and leadership skills, with a high level of self-confidence and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
  • Public or media relations experience
  • Highly intelligent with a strong desire to continue learning and growing
Work Environment

The role is based in the Chicago area and will allow for a hybrid work arrangement to work from home and work in the Chicago office as needed. Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be required.
