About the Role:

The APEX Procurement Consultant will deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient counseling to Ohio University APEX clients related to obtaining government contracts in specified counties within each service area. Qualified applicants must demonstrate the ability to provide general counseling on business development, including:

  • Creating professional relationships with government program managers, contracting officers, and prime contractors
  • Working knowledge of best business practices for performing government contracts
  • Pragmatic knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, as well as State of Ohio and local procurement regulations and practices

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert counseling to clients on government contracting and business development
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with government officials and prime contractors
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in Federal Acquisition Regulations, State of Ohio, and local procurement regulations and practices

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, applicants must have:

  • Strong business development and contracting skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and State of Ohio and local procurement regulations and practices
