Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of buildings and industrial facilities to identify potential hazards
  • Perform air, bulk, and surface sampling to collect data on asbestos fibers, lead particles, and mold spores
  • Coordinate laboratory analysis of samples and interpret results to assess the level of contamination
  • Stay current with local, state, and federal regulations related to asbestos, lead, and mold
  • Evaluate and quantify occupational exposures to various chemical, physical, and biological agents in the workplace
  • Investigate and assess indoor air quality issues in buildings, identifying sources of pollutants, ventilation problems, and other factors affecting air quality
  • Provide oversight and management of asbestos and lead abatement projects, ensuring that removal or remediation activities comply with regulatory standards
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial hygiene, environmental science, occupational health, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) required
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years' experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
