Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality projects and providing expert advice to clients.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in or lead field assignments, including observation of geotechnical explorations and construction observation.
- Perform geotechnical analyses, including bearing capacity evaluations, stability evaluations, and seepage analyses.
- Prepare field reports and engineering calculation packages.
- Develop technical specifications, design drawings, and construction submittals for compliance with contract requirements and design assumptions.
- Review and assist with assigning field and laboratory soil and material testing.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with contractors, clients, and team members.
- 0-4 years of experience in a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline (civil engineering) or science degree (geology/environmental science, etc).
- EIT/GIT certification or ability to obtain.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, REVIT, and other CAD platforms is a plus.
- Experience or academic training with geotechnical software such as SEEP/W, SLOPE/W, SETTLE3D, L-Pile, is preferred.
- Soils laboratory experience is a plus.
- Following certifications are a plus: Nuclear Density Gauge Operator; American Concrete Institute (ACI) Level I Inspector; and/or related certifications from ICC.
- Candidate must have consistent means of transportation to and from project sites with a valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
