Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our team at Granite City Electric Supply. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with customers, and driving sales growth in our retail showroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining a customer-friendly environment, and ensuring that each customer receives a positive experience.
  • Familiarize yourself with and stay up-to-date on new lighting and home fashion trends, utilizing your knowledge to maximize sales and meet or exceed sales goals and objectives.
  • Set up and arrange merchandise in the showroom to promote sales and create an attractive display.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to sales, customer service, and store operations.
  • Be available to work varied hours and days to meet the needs of our retail operation, including evenings and weekends.
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior sales or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to process information and merchandise through our computer system.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store, generally weighing 0-50 pounds.
  • Must be able to demonstrate reliability by arriving to work on time and taking breaks in expected time frames.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to change and adjust with business conditions.
