Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech and language disorders. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose students with speech and language disorders
  • Develop and implement IEPs for students with speech and language disorders
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement instructional programs
  • Conduct and participate in child study, eligibility, screening, staff, and departmental meetings and conferences
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid school speech-language pathologist license issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
