About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at CAN Community Health. As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality mental health services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health and emotional well-being, using diagnostic tools and criteria to formulate accurate diagnoses.
  2. Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals, collaborating with clients to set realistic and achievable therapeutic objectives.
  3. Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, psychotherapy, or other modalities, to help clients develop coping skills and strategies to manage their mental health challenges.
  4. Crisis Management: Address and manage crisis situations, providing immediate support to clients in distress, and collaborating with emergency services or crisis teams as needed.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, to provide comprehensive care, and maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Requirements
  1. Education and Licensure: Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field, and licensure or certification as required by state regulations.
  2. Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
