Position: Quality Assurance Systems Engineer I (Remote)
The Quality Assurance Systems Engineer I will support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of quality systems. This role involves creating and managing standard operating procedures for quality systems, collaborating with management representatives across all manufacturing facilities, communicating updates to quality systems, and partnering with various team members and department heads to ensure alignment with the overall objectives of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in quality engineering tasks related to the development and application of quality tools, methodologies, and systems aimed at continuous product quality enhancement. Participate in Quality Assurance activities within the manufacturing sector by aiding in the formulation, execution, and management of quality specifications, testing methodologies, and sampling plans for products and processes.
- Project Involvement - Collaborate with the Quality Team on project initiatives addressing non-conformances and customer feedback.
- Gather, analyze, and present quality data for trend analysis and the formulation of Quality Performance Indicators. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to assess current processes and modifications. Innovate solutions to challenges identified during quality assurance tasks. This position will closely interact with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical Services, and IT teams to develop and implement software data collection systems.
- Communicate significant findings or developments identified during quality assurance tasks and provide management with recommendations for process enhancements.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies throughout the organization using value stream mapping and other lean methodologies.
- Engage in ongoing training sessions focusing on quality, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
- Automate data collection from various process equipment to enhance quality and manufacturing efficiencies. Collaborate with Technical Services to configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ODBC servers.
- Lead Lean Six Sigma projects across multiple facilities and departments. Understand Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous efforts aimed at improving process efficiencies and minimizing waste, with a focus on achieving measurable financial returns for the organization.
- Travel Requirement: 10%
