Role Overview:

As the Senior Quality Assurance Manager, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of quality across our distribution centers. Your role will involve providing insightful analysis, training, and coaching while applying quality principles to enhance business functions and improve customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Director of Distribution Centers, you will collaborate with various sites to drive process enhancements that are measurable and focused on customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and standardize quality initiatives across distribution centers in alignment with Watts' Global Quality Standards.
  • Champion and report on quality projects and initiatives within the distribution network.
  • Facilitate the deployment of strategic goals across distribution sites as directed by Supply Chain and Global Quality Leadership.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance and communicate findings effectively.
  • Analyze quality issues and develop a structured project pipeline for resolution.
  • Engage with external suppliers, manufacturing facilities, and customers regarding quality matters.
  • Coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of distribution quality data using statistical methods.
  • Manage and disseminate information related to quality processes, including adherence to ISO 9001 standards.
  • Assess and evaluate quality performance within distribution centers.
  • Assist in designing and evaluating quality assurance systems and methodologies.
  • Provide training on quality concepts and tools to distribution staff at all levels.
  • Identify and nurture quality champions at the site level to support operational functions.
  • Research and share best practices for distribution quality across all sites and leadership teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution or logistics.
  • Proven experience in enhancing quality systems.
  • Hands-on knowledge of lean methodologies, 5S, and visual management techniques.
  • Experience in conducting audits.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of operations, logistics, sales, customer service, engineering, and IT.
  • Experience in training and coaching problem-solving methodologies.
  • Cross-functional leadership experience.
  • Commitment to pursuing Quality certifications.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires frequent walking, talking, and hearing. Occasional standing, sitting, and manual dexterity are necessary. The ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds is required. Vision capabilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The position involves working in both office and manufacturing settings, with occasional duties outside of a typical office environment.
