Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team at the Fergus Falls Area Family YMCA. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks, including mopping, dusting, and trash removal, to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • Assist with floor care duties, such as dry and wet mopping, stripping and waxing of floors, and carpet shampooing.
  • Collect and remove soiled towels from locker rooms and other areas of the facility.
  • Wash, dry, fold, and restock towels throughout the shift.
  • Assist with the Preventative Maintenance Program and perform light maintenance duties, such as replacing light bulbs and AHU filters, as needed.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years old.
Benefits
  • All employees receive a free YMCA membership.
  • Part-time employees begin accruing Sick Leave immediately upon hire and Paid Time Off (PTO) after one year of employment.
  • 12% Retirement Plan - The YMCA will automatically contribute an additional 12% of the eligible employee's monthly income into their YMCA Retirement Plan when the following requirements are met:
    • The employee has been employed with the YMCA for 2 years.
    • The employee has worked 1,000 hours during each of any two 12-month periods.
    • The employee is 21 years of age or older.
