Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team at UCHealth as a Clinical Cytology Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in the analysis and evaluation of cellular samples from various body sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine examinations of GYN and non-GYN specimens, accurately reporting findings and maintaining detailed records of daily activities.
- Prepare specimens for diagnostic analysis in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist in the collection and processing of fine needle aspiration samples.
- Perform quality control assessments, maintain laboratory equipment, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Provide expert consultation to laboratory personnel and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Utilize critical thinking and sound judgment to operate independently in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and completion of an accredited Cytotechnologist program.

Licensure/Certification:
- Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is required. State licensure may be necessary based on local regulations.

Experience:
- No prior experience is required.
