Job Overview:

Accountable for ensuring a secure and safe atmosphere for all visitors, staff members, and organizational assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to relevant Tribal, Federal, and other regulations along with Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
  • Uphold the highest standards of guest service by attentively addressing guest and team member inquiries and concerns.
  • Safeguard tribal assets by monitoring and reporting any unusual, hazardous, or suspicious activities on KLECH premises.
  • Conduct patrols of designated areas as required, including but not limited to main entrances, gaming areas, back of house, and parking zones; manage access to restricted sections, check in vendors, provide traffic oversight, prevent entry of barred guests, and perform other duties as needed.
  • Respond to dispatch calls and inquiries from team members and guests to resolve internal/external guest issues, safety concerns, emergencies, and medical situations.
  • Accompany the transfer of cash, chips, and table and slot machine drops.
  • Document incidents occurring on KLECH property, investigate, and record other significant information as necessary.
  • Maintain open communication with immediate supervisors and the surveillance team.
  • Exhibit integrity and a fundamental desire to protect and serve.
  • Promote and embody KLECH core values and MAD skills.
  • Manage and safeguard confidential information entrusted to the position.
  • Complete all required training satisfactorily as assigned.
  • Monitor adherence to Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31 requirements, IRS Currency Transaction Reports, and established Anti-Money Laundering policies. Maintain accurate MTL, MIL, CTR, and SAR as necessary.
  • The responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive but represent a general overview of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. Duties may evolve based on organizational needs and/or directives from the Director.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid, state-issued driver's license is necessary.
  • Successful completion of a Security assessment is required.
  • Level 1 security training is preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a security guard/officer is preferred.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws is preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
Additional Criteria:

Preference is given to qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and qualified Native Americans.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, climb, and bend for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; talk and listen consistently.
  • Must be able to focus for prolonged periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Effective communication in person or via telecommunications equipment is necessary.
  • Must possess the manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, touch-screen display, telephone, and calculator.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment:
  • Casino floor, external premises, and standard office settings.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment with regular interaction with the public.
  • Temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels; exposure to high noise levels throughout the day.
  • May encounter inclement weather and extreme conditions.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be necessary, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure and work long hours in stressful conditions.
  • May face risks associated with resolving issues involving difficult guests and extremely upset staff members.
  • Exposure to various lighting types, including artificial fluorescent lights, flashing lights, strobe lights, and multiple colored lights.
  • Travel may be required to fulfill one or more essential functions of this position.
Employment Conditions:
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including successful completion of a background check necessary for obtaining and maintaining the license. Responsible for keeping all documents current and valid at all times.
  • Must provide authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation to commute to and from work is required.
  • Must comply with KLEC handbook, internal policies and procedures, and gaming regulations established within KLEC.
